Our Story

We are a husband-and-wife team, and this is our story…

While K-Beauty may have recently taken the world by storm, we have loved, studied, and experienced it for more than 10 years. For Sophia, this journey began in 2015, when she worked and lived in Seoul as a senior executive, collaborating with the best doctors, clinics, and hospitals. There, she learned about skincare and aesthetic innovation in K-beauty, and became a committed customer and student of the science from that time forward.

For Curt, this understanding came later. While they were dating, Sophia convinced Curt to have couples’ facials done at Korean med spas. While Curt had never had a facial before (most men haven’t!), he was fascinated by the science and treatment principles in K-beauty. Then, while traveling in Asia, Sophia showed Curt some of the more advanced treatments being pioneered in Korea. Very real technology with real results.

After they were married and Curt subsequently retired from a long career in healthcare and venture capital, they both began to think about a new professional adventure where they could bring smiles, positivity, and confidence to people’s lives. During their honeymoon, they had an “a-ha” moment: to bring a true K-beauty med spa to Utah (where Curt grew up) and share Korean aesthetics practices with our communities. From this, Seora Radiance was born.

So, why the name Seora Radiance? Seora (pronounced “SOH-rah”) draws inspiration from the rhythm and elegance of the Korean language – fluid, balanced, and intentional. While not tied to a single word or place, the name reflects the essence of Seoul’s modern skincare innovation and Korea’s deeply rooted philosophy of skin health. Radiance, for us, brings to mind the ultimate outcome of true K-beauty; skin that looks its absolute best because it is its absolute best, not because it’s simply covered with products. In doing this, we are guided by one principle over all others: to bring the latest, most advanced care coming from Korea – the best technology, the best techniques, and the best products. That is what you will always get at Seora Radiance.
